For Immediate Release:
The Aaronson Law Firm of Orlando has settled a lawsuit brought against it by Diamond Resorts International, Inc. In recent years, the timeshare industry has endeavored to fight opposition by suing timeshare ‘exit’ companies, and even actual law firms, by means of litigation. The Aaronson firm is the first and only of many firms to have taken a lawsuit filed by a timeshare developer all the way to trial. The case settled while Diamond was putting on evidence during its case-in-chief.
Mr. Aaronson had this to say: “I can understand their lawsuits against non-lawyers, who have no business getting involved in legal matters to begin with. I think they crossed the line when they started suing legitimate law firms – essentially trying to make themselves immune to opposition – not matter how questionable their sales tactics and other policies may be. ”
Aaronson continued: “I think that this is a reflection of our resolve and commitment to stand up to the bullying tactics of the big money developers. I hope and trust that this will reassure our clients for whom we’ve made the same kind of commitment”.
The Aaronson Law Firm has engaged in contract litigation for over twenty years, representing consumers in timeshare disputes exclusively for the past six years. There are four attorneys and a support staff of a dozen more at the firm.
